Blackout curtains - VocalBoothToGo

Our blackout curtains do more than just make the room dark. Their heavy fabric of 1550 to 2850 g/m² also reduces noise (up to 25 dB), improves the acoustics of the room and keeps out the cold (thermal insulation up to 60%). 100% blackout, made to measure in our workshop.

Who are our blackout curtains for?

  • Bedrooms: complete darkness and less street noise for a better night's sleep.
  • Night shift workers: sleep during the day as if it were the middle of the night.
  • Children's rooms: a quiet, dark room for naps.
  • Home cinemas and living rooms: no glare on the screen and better sound.

Standard blackout curtain or VB2GO curtain?

A standard blackout curtain often weighs around 250 g/m²: a thin black layer is enough to stop light, but not noise or cold. Our curtains contain an acoustic filling that makes them much heavier. So these soundproof blackout curtains block not only light, but also much of the outside noise and heat loss.

Which model should I choose?

  • deNoise 2600 – 100% blackout, 15 to 25 dB less noise, 50 to 60% thermal insulation.
  • deNoise PRO 1550 – single layer with a blackout fabric sewn onto the front: 100% blackout, 13 to 17 dB.
  • deNoise PRO 2850 – double layer with a blackout fabric sewn onto the front, our heaviest curtain: 100% blackout, from 23 dB, 65 to 85% thermal insulation.
  • Fire-retardant fabric for deNoise PRO models: on request (offices, meeting rooms, premises open to the public) – please contact us before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Does a blackout curtain really block 100% of the light?

The fabric of the deNoise 2600 and deNoise PRO models does not let light through. For total darkness, choose a curtain that is wider than the window and reaches the floor, so that light cannot get in round the edges.

Do blackout curtains also block noise?

A lightweight blackout curtain does not. Thanks to their weight, our curtains reduce noise by 13 to 25 dB, depending on the model.

How is a blackout curtain different from a thermal curtain?

A blackout curtain stops light; a thermal curtain keeps in heat. Our curtains do both. See also our thermal curtains.

How long will it take to receive my curtain?

Making your made-to-measure curtain takes 1 to 2 working days after the order is confirmed; delivery then depends on the carrier and your country: see shipping costs and delivery times.
