Location of grommets
The distance of the inner opening of the 40mm grommets, which slide along your curtain rod, is 5 cm from the top edge of the curtain. Therefore, when planning the curtain length you wish to order, it’s good to keep this in mind. Note: Please also be aware that the curtains are made with a tolerance of +/- 2 cm, so we recommend leaving about 3 cm of space from the floor to avoid the curtain dragging on the ground.
1. Hanging Option: 40mm Metal Eyelets
On the upper side you will find high-quality 40mm grommets in nickel colour at approximately 20cm intervals, so you can hang the curtains on a hanging rod with a diameter of up to 35mm. The soundproofing curtains are very heavy, this double layered version of for example 150x220cm has a weight of 9,5kg and in larger windows the curtain rod should not only hold the right and left side but also the middle. If you don't want to have the curtain rod holder also in the middle, you need to use a metal rod made of thick quality material that won't sag too much.
2. Hanging Option: 8.5cm Pencil Pleat Heading Tape
If you choose this option, your curtain will be fitted with a high-quality 8.5cm pencil pleat heading tape. This versatile heading allows for two hanging methods: using hooks on a curtain track, or threading a curtain pole directly through the hidden rod pocket for an elegant, concealed look. The tape is sewn 2.5cm from the top edge of the curtain and features three rows of pockets for the hooks. This gives you the flexibility to adjust the final hanging height, allowing you to perfectly cover the track or ensure the curtain hangs just above the floor. The lowest row of pockets is located 8cm from the top edge. As this is a very heavy curtain, we recommend using high-quality metal hooks (not included) and a durable, load-bearing metal track. When ordering, please allow for a recommended gap of approx. 3cm from the floor and a manufacturing tolerance of ± 2 cm.
The pencil pleat heading tape is available for sizes up to: width 200 cm × height 300 cm. Longer curtains are available with eyelets only.
Surface material of the curtain (front side):
The deNoise PRO soundproof curtains use high quality blackout fabric as the surface material, ensuring a perfect appearance and a 100% blackout effect.
Curtain filling:
VB2GO deNoise lining (in two layers) is used as the curtain's filling, using health safe recycled fibres made from a blend of cotton and polyester, and thanks to the large amount of this unique filling, the acoustic curtains have a great ability to absorb sound in a wide range of frequencies, thus providing a soundproofing effect.
Curtain backside:
The backside of the soundproof curtain is made of polyester fabric in the colour selected in the configurator and is complemented by regular stitching at 5 cm intervals. The stitching colour may vary between black and white depending on the production batch, curtain size, and material availability. This construction ensures the stability of the inner filling and keeps it firmly in place without any unwanted movement.
Custom tailoring:
You can order this type of curtain in the exact dimensions you need for your window, door, or room partition. Simply choose the length and width when ordering on our ecommerce shop, and we'll quickly prepare and dispatch a custom-made curtain for you.
Soundproofing:
VB2GO soundproof curtains, with a huge weight of 1550 up to 2850g per m² (double-layer version), create a strong barrier against noise. That's why many of our customers use them to create a barrier against outside noise by replacing their existing curtains with our soundproof curtains.
It's important to note, that the deNoise PRO soundproof curtains don't work by completely blocking out all sound, but they work by "absorbing sound." They absorb a significant amount of noise as it enters the room, preventing it from lingering, hence acting as both soundproof and acoustic curtains. This principle is used by all acoustic and soundproof curtains on the market. However, the VB2GO deNoise PRO product has significantly greater weight per m² than most other acoustic and soundproof curtains on the market, making it much more effective in soundproofing and sound absorption.
The degree of outdoor noise reduction also depends on the sound properties. Low-frequency sounds like dance music are absorbed less, whereas higher-pitched sounds like sirens, speech, singing, or noises like dog barking, lawnmowers, and sawing are absorbed more.
Sound absorption:
The deNoise PRO 2850 acoustic curtain absorbs the sound that hits it instead of reflecting it back into the room. Echo and reverberation drop, speech becomes clearer, microphone recordings cleaner, and noise from a drum kit or equipment travels less. It is the most affordable and reliable way to tame noise before it starts disturbing anyone.
αw = 1.00, the highest possible value. Laboratory measurement in a reverberation room showed that from 400 Hz upwards the curtain absorbs practically 100 % of the sound that hits it. According to the European standard EN ISO 11654 this gives a weighted sound absorption coefficient of αw = 1.00. With αw you can easily compare deNoise PRO with acoustic materials from other manufacturers.
How much it absorbs in the bass: 100 Hz 13 % · 125 Hz 27 % · 160 Hz 45 % · 200 Hz 58 % · 250 Hz 75 % · 315 Hz 92 % · from 400 Hz 100 %.
Absorbs and soundproofs. Two layers of acoustic material not only absorb sound in the room but also dampen noise coming in or going out through a window or door.
Tip: hang the curtain in folds. In the laboratory the curtain hung flat. Hung in deep folds it has a larger surface and more air behind it, so it absorbs even more, especially in the bass. See how in the article Pleated hanging of an acoustic curtain.
The full laboratory report and the αw calculation are in the article deNoise PRO 2850 certificate.
Excellent for Podcasts and Video Production:
If you're recording your podcasts and interviews, or any video involving spoken word, musical instruments, or singing, you need to record the sound of that conversation as well as possible, particularly without the reverberations of the space. Soundproof curtains are perfect for this because you don't have to stick them to anything. You simply hang them on a structure, giving your content a professional touch.
Darkening:
deNoise PRO blackout curtains have blackout fabric on their surface and a very high, weight of 1550 up to 2850g per m² (double-layer version). This can only be achieved by ensuring the curtain is not made up of just several layers of fabrics stacked together but must contain filling. The combination of blackout fabric and deNoise lining ensures that the curtain doesn't allow direct sunlight to pass through. For the deNoise PRO 1550 version, the blackout is 100%, and for the deNoise PRO 2850, the blackout is 100%.

Suitable for Offices:
These soundproof curtains are also suitable for use in offices and commercial spaces to reduce reverberation because reducing reverberation significantly improves clarity, allowing better communication between clients and among colleagues in your business space or offices.
Acoustic Solution for Large Spaces:
Last but not least, VB2GO soundproof curtains can also be used in large open spaces to reduce reverberation and create suitable areas for conferences, recording, or music and speech reproduction because of their high effectiveness and low cost. Covering large spaces economically and quickly is possible due to their size (the maximum size for one deNoise PRO curtain we can produce is 200cm wide and 290cm high.
Further Utilization:
As you can see, there are many uses for the branded deNoise PRO soundproof curtains from VocalBoothToGo.
Enhancing Effectiveness:
If you want to achieve even better sound absorption results (soundproofing), we recommend leaving approximately 5-8 cm of space between the wall and the soundproof curtains. This air gap will make them even more effective.
Another significant way to increase the effectiveness of sound absorption and thus the soundproofing of deNoise PRO soundproof curtains is to hang them in a wavy manner with waves approximately 15cm apart, providing a 15% higher efficiency.
Our range of deNoise PRO curtains with 40mm eyelets for direct hanging on a curtain rod is more suitable for this type of wavy hanging because the rod passes through the eyelets, creating a naturally wavy effect in the curtains.
Cleaning:
Soundproof curtains can be washed in a washing machine capable of washing at least 15kg of laundry (depending on the model purchased).
However, you may not be able to wash such heavy soundproof curtains in domestic conditions, you will need to take them to a local laundromat that has high-capacity washers and dryers. This eliminates the need to remove dust during fixed installations. Simply remove the curtains, take them for washing, and then rehang them.
Available deNoise PRO curtain colours:
We supply deNoise PRO soundproofing curtains in several colors, continuously expanding their range, and in the configurator above, you can select the name of the color you're interested in. If you're not sure how the color looks, in the overview of main photos there are photos of individual colors. We've also prepared a simple article for you, where there are more detailed photos of each color variant.

Please note that VB2GO soundproofing and acoustic curtains do not work by completely blocking out all sound, instead, they "absorb sound," effectively reducing a significant amount of noise upon entry into the room. They also have a secondary effect of preventing sound from lingering in the room. This is similar to other soundproof curtains, acoustic curtains on the market, however, the VB2GO deNoise PRO product has significantly greater weight per m² than most other acoustic and soundproofing curtains on the market, making it more effective at soundproofing and sound absorption.
Rear side colour: The standard rear side is made of technical fabric with stitching in white or black. Very fine, almost invisible coloured stripes may appear in the white fabric. This is a property of the technical fabric, not a manufacturing defect, and it has no effect on soundproofing or blackout. If you want a rear side without them, choose black, or a coloured rear side made of the same fabric as the front (for a surcharge).

Home Studio & Acoustics
I used acoustic curtains to divide a room that originally had no door, as shown in the attached photo. This space is located right next to the home studio, which is on the lower floor, and we needed to find a way to reduce sound transmission between these two rooms. Otherwise, sound from the home studio, where I frequently record and mix, would easily travel up the stairs and enter this room, which would mean the noise would spread to other parts of the house. Acoustic curtains turned out to be the ideal solution for this problem.
Why our soundproof curtains cost less than half as much
Our soundproof curtains are heavier than typical acoustic curtains, yet they cost less than half as much. That sounds suspicious, so let us explain how it works.
